    Income Tax Amendment bill pass in Parliament today

    The Income Tax Amendment Bill, was passed in Parliament today.

    This comes as the Government continues its thrust to improve the administrative efficiency of its system of taxation.

    The Bill was tabled by Minister of Finance Camillo Gonsalves who explained that the Amendment was intended to address deficiencies within the existing legislation.

    The Drug (Prevention of Misuse) (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and the Child Justice Bill, 2019 received their first reading and were sent to Select Committees.

    Parliament has been adjourned until Thursday May 2nd, at 10:00am.
