    SVG – POLICE OFFICER AND EX POLICE IN CUSTODY

    ANN was reliably informed that a police officer of over 15 years in service and an ex police officer who spent approximately six (6) years in SVG police force is now in custody assisting the police with an investigation of alleged drug trafficking.

    Sources close to ANN state that the suspects were taken into custody over the weekend after the ex police officer was allegedly caught with packages of a substance which is believed to be cocaine.

    It was also said that the ex – police officer was caught with over $20,000.XCD while traveling from a Grenadine island last week, where he worked daily.

    The source told ANN that F.I.U was called in the money was confiscated.

    The connection between the ex police officer and the other suspect is unknown to ANN at this time.

    No charges has been laid against the men up to press time.

    Investigations are continuing.
