Taipei May 21, 2024 — Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves of St. Vincent and the Grenadines met with Taiwan’s newly inaugurated President, Dr. Lai Ching-te, today at the Presidential Office in Taipei. The meeting underscored the strong ties between the two nations, as both leaders committed to deepening their bilateral relationship.

The president acknowledged the long-standing support from Dr. Gonsalves, who has been a steadfast ally for over two decades.Dr. Gonsalves, in turn, conveyed his honor at being invited to attend yesterday’s inauguration ceremony. He extended a formal invitation to President Lai to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 2025, highlighting the desire to continue and expand collaborative efforts.
