Kingstown, St. Vincent, May 18, 2026 – Police officers from the Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force conducted an anti-drug awareness session at Georgetown Secondary School as part of ongoing efforts to educate young people about the dangers of substance abuse.

According to a police statement, Sergeant Huggins, PC 967 May and PC 580 Palmer visited the school on May 12 to speak with students about the physical, legal and social consequences associated with drug use.

During the session, officers displayed samples of illegal drugs and explained how students could identify and avoid them.

Police said the officers also encouraged students to resist negative peer pressure and remain focused on their future goals.

The initiative forms part of the police force’s wider community outreach programme aimed at promoting public awareness and youth engagement across St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The RSVGPF said it remains committed to combining law enforcement with educational outreach to help build safer communities.
