FIFA has instructed for the immediate reinstatement of Cheney Joseph as President of the Grenada Football Association (GFA).
Reports are that football’s world governing body has written to the Acting President Allan James following his correspondence to FIFA seeking clarity on a previous directive.
However, sources say that FIFA has reiterated its position that the suspension of the President is without grounds and that FIFA continues to recognise Mr Joseph as the duly elected President of the local football association.
FIFA also warns that any delay in Joseph’s reinstatement will result in appropriate action against the executive committee.
