Twenty-six year old Atiba Bess of Ottley Hall is alleged to have shot at two police officers at Ottley Hall last week Tuesday.
Bess was subsequently arrested and charged with the offence. When he appeared before the Serious Offences Court yesterday, the prosecution, when asked if they had any objection said no.
Bess was granted $10,00.00 bail with one surety. However, when the court adjourned sitting for the day, he was still in custody as he had failed to get a surety to sign his bail bond.

Bess recently was released from prison after serving sentence for the killing of 23 year old Sherene Clouden of Ottley Hall.

Clouden was shot at the back of the head on December 8, 2008, while in the company of two male residents on the public road.
Bess was initially indicted for murder. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter at the criminal assizes.

Bess was 16 years of age at the time of Clouden’s killing.
