    St George’s carnival results

    Carnival activities in East and West St. George are winning down following the staging of the Miss St. George Pageant, as well as the Calypso and Soca Monarch Competitions On Friday night .

    In the Miss St. George Pageant, Lourie John-Miss Villa emerged victorious; Obeisha Conliffe-Miss Belair was second, Meliassa Mapp-Miss Dauphne third, Kyshawana Bacchus- Miss Diamond 4th and Chantae James-Miss Gomea 5th.

    In the Calypso competition, Jillian Smart was first, Ronella Lavia second and Omani Cupid third.

    The Show was held at the West St. George Secondary School, and was followed by Jouvert celebrations in the morning.

    There was a street party yesterday ,which saw revelers jumping from Calliaqua, traveling through Glen and back to Calliaqua.

    The festival would climax today with Kiddies Mas and Fun Day
