    Effective 6:00 pm Thursday 30th May, 2019

Moisture and instability being enhanced by a favorable upper level atmosphere has been generating pockets of
moderate to heavy showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during the late afternoon period.
Some stations across mainland St. Vincent have already recorded rainfall accumulations of up to 75mm (3
inches) during the last 6 hours, and there is the possibility of a further 50 mm- 75mm (2 – 3 inches) with isolated
higher amounts, as activity persists into tomorrow.
As a result, a Flood Watch is now in effect for SVG, and will remain in effect until 12 pm tomorrow Friday 31st May, 2019
Residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding, landslides and near rivers and streams should remain on
the alert and take the necessary precautions.
NOTE: A Flood-Watch is issued when conditions are favorable, and there exist the possibility of flooding
    during the watch period.
This Watch may be upgraded to a Warning if conditions warrant.
