    Burglar steals $50,000 in jewellery from K’town store

    Police have arrested and charged Jeffery Jordon, 28 years old Labourer of Kingstown with the offence of Burglary on 22.07.19.

    According to investigations, Jordon allegedly entered the Jewelry Store of a 43-years-old Businessman of Calliaqua as a trespasser and stole one (1) gold pendant valued EC$450.00, twenty-five (25) gold rings value EC$32,610.00, five (5) gold bracelets valued EC$7,850.00, seven (7) gold chains valued $EC6, 785.00, fifteen (15) pairs of gold earrings valued EC$1,280.00 and one (1) gold MK Watch value EC$1,460.00. Total value EC$50,435.00. The incident occurred at Bedford Street, Kingstown on 22.07.19.

    Jeffery Jordon, who is originally from Mesopotamia, admitted to committing the crime between June 22 and 24.

    Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne told the man that she needed some time to consider his sentence and ordered that he be remanded in custody until next Monday.
