CnC3 tv – A pastor from Central Trinidad is now behind bars after being charged with buggering a 21-year-old socially-displaced man.

Christopher Perreira was charged on Monday afternoon after inquiries by the Chaguanas CID.

The pastor, who is head of the ISM Ministries based in Valencia, was remanded into custody and will reappear before the Chaguanas Magistrate’s Court tomorrow morning.

He was not granted bail, however, bail is likely to come up tomorrow.

According to reports, the incidents occurred sometime between April and July of this year in the Chaguanas area.

The young man, who has been described as socially displaced, was going to church and was introduced to the pastor.

It is unclear how the events unfolded thereafter, however, the church runs a foundation called the Help Foundation and Transitioning Centre.

Perreira is said to be in his thirties and lives at Xeres Road in Carlsen Field, Chaguanas.

Guardian Media attempted to contact the Valencia church this afternoon but all calls to the listed number went unanswered.
