Police Commissioner Gary Griffith is warning people who call themselves community “leaders” that they are going to be monitored by the TTPS. He made the announcement in a statement issued on Monday night as he announced the arrest of three men under the Anti-Gang Legislation. “Whilst not in relation to this case, I am taking a personal interest in persons who refer to themselves as ‘Leaders’ and will use this anti-gang legislation to apprehend and lead them to their cells where they will lose their perceived ranks,” he stated. Meanwhile, Griffith is asking the public for information on the whereabouts of Akido Williams also known as ‘Sunday’ of Basilon Street, Port of Spain who is a person of interest in ongoing investigations.
