The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has received a boost for the hosting its annual caroling contest.
On Monday (Nov. 25), Ms. Marcia Glasgow, Office Manager of Standard Caribbean Shipping (SCS) Limited handed over a total of ten (10) trophies to Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John at the Police Conference Room, Police Headquarters.
In making the donation on behalf of Mr. Carl Munroe, Director of SCS Limited, Ms. Glasgow said that Mr. Munroe is pleased to present the ten trophies as his company’s contribution to the 2019 Police Cooperative Credit Union – Police Christmas Caroling Contest.
According to Ms. Glasgow, it is the hope of Mr. Munroe that the caroling contest will be very successful and extends best wishes and a joyous Christmas Season to the RSVGPF.
In expressing his gratitude and joy having received the ten trophies, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Colin John thanked Ms. Glasgow and SCS Limited for what he called a “timely and very tangible contribution to the caroling contest”.
The commissioner disclosed that while the Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU) has been the major sponsor of the contest for the past six (6) consecutive years, for 2019, the PCCU has reduced its sponsorship by half.
According to Commissioner John, the contribution by SCS Limited to this year’s caroling contest will significantly fill that void.
The 2019 Police Caroling Contest is scheduled to take place on Friday December 13th, 2019 at the Central Police Station, under the theme “an evening of caroling and joyous entertainment “.
The general public are invited to attend.
