    Vincentian celebrates 30 years in Monsterrat police force

    Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Albert C Williams is celebrating 30 years of service in the Royal Montserrat Police Service and by extension, to the people of Montserrat. Mr. Williams is originally from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He was enlisted in the service on January 18, 1990.

    During his years of service, he attended numerous police training locally, regionally and internationally. Most of his training are in the field of forensic science and major crime investigations.

    Mr. Williams works in all the various departments with the Criminal Investigation Department being his mainstay for over 15 years. Reflecting on his achievement of such a milestone in his career, Mr. Williams said that he has absolutely no regrets in joining the Royal Montserrat Police Service at the time he did. He said that the service has helped shape his life and molded him into the person he is today. The journey he said was not smooth sailing. There were numerous challenges but by the grace of God, he managed to overcome them and rise above the occasion.

    Mr. Williams said that he did not wait or depend on the organization to provide him with the skills and knowledge to function effectively as a policeman. He further his studies and attained a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus and a bachelor’s degree in Law from Northumbria University.

    Mr. Williams is now focusing on his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice.The Commissioner of Police and all ranks and file of the Royal Montserrat Police Service and Montserrat Fire and Rescue Service extends congratulation to Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Albert C Williams for reaching this milestone and for his unbroken years of service to the Montserrat Community.
