    Diamond Resident placed on curfew and $16,000 Bail for wounding and having unlicensed firearm.

    Police have arrested and charged Akino Richards, 25 years old Labourer of Diamond with the offences of wounding with intent and unlawful firearm possession on 17.03.2020.

    According to investigations, the accused allegedly shot and wounded a 34 years old resident of the same address in his back with a gun. Richards was also charged with allegedly having in his possession a firearm without a license issued under the Firearm Act.

    The incident occurred at Diamond on 05.03.2020.
    Richards appeared before the Serious Offences Court where he was not required to plea.

    He was granted bail in the sum of $16,000. 00 with one surety and placed on a curfew between 7pm and 6am; and ordered to surrender all travel documents.

    He is also required to report to the Calliaqua Police Station every Monday and Thursday between 6am and 6pm. The matter was adjourned to 18.06.2020.
