    Pakistan International Airlines plane with 107 passengers on board crashes in Karachi

    A Pakistan International Airlines plane with 107 people on board has crashed near a residential area in the country’s largest city of Karachi, an airline spokesman has said.

    It is feared there may be more casualties as the plane came down on houses in Model Colony in the city.

    Footage from the scene shows huge clouds of black smoke billowing above the buildings.

    Reports state that the Airbus A320 was travelling from Lahore and had 99 passengers an eight crew members on board.
