Since the suspension of schools due to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, Traffic Department has observed a trend among a number of teenage bicycle riders. It was noticed that these teenage peddle cyclist are in the habit of riding in groups negligently, recklessly and at speeds or in a manner that is dangerous to the general public. It was also observed that these teens are riding without the appropriate gears such as; warning devices, lights, breaks and helmets.

However, they will divert into the traffic, gaps or byroads to avoid the officers. Superintendent John stressed that under the Bicycle Act these incidents are offences.
