On Saturday, 11th July 2020, President Natalie Cummings and the executive members of the Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club hosted a handover ceremony and planning retreat to retain President’s Distinguished status for the year 2020-2021. The retreat was held at the Board Room of the Beachcombers Hotel in Villa, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Dr. Kenneth Onu was the featured presenter and highlighted the importance of executive members understanding their roles and performing their roles to the best of their abilities. DTM Ken highlighted that it is through the excellent performance of our roles, members in turn will achieve the best results.
After attaining the goals set out by Toastmasters International for improved communication and leadership in 2019-2020, the club is poised to repeat this feat and has commenced the year with the objective to even surpass last year’s performance. Every executive member present was encouraged to work as a team and to strive for progress and not perfection with the knowledge that consistent progress can lead to perfection.
The club’s success plan was completed and administrative tasks were assigned to the relevant personnel. The entire executive was present and includes:
