St. Vincent and the Grenadines today confirmed one (1) new COVID-19 case.

The new case is a Vincentian national who arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on September 5 from Jamaica.

The inflight contacts of this person are in the process of
    being informed of their exposure.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines has now recorded a total of sixty-two (62) COVID- 19 cases, fifty-eight (58) of which have recovered.

There are now four (4) active COVID-19 cases.
Due to the rapidly increasing number of cases of COVID-19 in some CARICOM member states, the ‘Protocol for the Entry of Travelers’ into St. Vincent and the Grenadines was today revised to place the British Virgin Islands, Surinam, Guyana
and Belize into the High Risk Category.

Travelers from these countries will have to quarantine in a Tourism Authority/MOHWE approved Hotel for five (5) days at their cost. The public is reminded of the importance of ensuring that all persons arriving in St. Vincent and the Grenadines comply fully with the quarantine protocols in place.

These are designed to protect everybody including family and friends from COVID- 19. Let us all keep SVG safe and healthy.
