Girl’s High School (GHS) student Paige Cadogan has repeated her Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) performance to cop this country’s top performer award for the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Secondary Education Certificate Examinations (CSEC) 2020.
The Girl Guide who received the Chief Commissioner award 2020 from that organisation attained 15 grades ones and 1 grade two.
Last year’s top student Zuania Baptiste also from the Girl’s High School scored 12 grade ones and 2 grade twos.
In a congratulatory message, the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Girl’s Guide Association said on its Facebook page:
“We encourage her to continue to strive for excellence and to continually live up to her guiding promise and do her best, always. Congratulations Paige, we are proud of you. You have shown that excellence is possible in academics and extracurricular involvement.”
The all-female school continued its excellent tradition as the country’s overall top performer with a 97.88% pass rate, an improvement on its 96.9% pass rate in 2019.
GHS students Zowie Bullock and Jaynika Williams also excelled at the examinations. They each sat 13 subjects, obtaining 13 grade ones….
