    Issued: 6:00pm Wednesday, 28th October, 2020

Moderate to heavy showers, gusty winds and possible isolated thunderstorms are
forecast across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines tonight and tomorrow due to the
passage of a tropical wave. The upper levels will remain favourable during the next
24 hours, enhancing shower activity. In addition, gusty winds are accompanying the
wave, and consequently sea conditions will be moderate to rough with swells
peaking to approximately 3.5 m (11ft) on the eastern coasts tonight, becoming 3.0m
    (10ft) tomorrow.
Model guidance is indicating about 3 inches (~ 75mm) of rainfall during the next 24
hours period. Therefore, a flash- flood watch is in effect until further notice.
Residents and motorists should be prepared in areas prone to flooding and
landslides or near rivers and streams.
Persons in wind exposed areas should be prepared as loose objects can become
airborne as winds become gusty near showers.
In addition, small craft operators and sea bathers should be prepared for
    above normal sea- swells.
A Flood-Watch is issued when conditions are favourable and there exists the possibility of
flooding during the watch period, and may be upgraded to a warning if conditions warrant.
