On 26.10.2020, Police arrested and charged Dave Sutton, a 46 year old farmer of New Chapmans with assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
Investigations carried out revealed that on 16.10.2020 the Accused allegedly had in his possession a firearm, make and serial number unknown without a license issued under the Firearms Act.
He was also charged with unlawfully discharging a firearm at a 30 year old barber of Langley Park and assaulting the said barber by firing two (2) gunshots at him with the intent to commit the offence of bodily harmed.
In addition, Sutton was charged with unlawfully discharging a firearm at a 30 year old labourer also of Langley Park. He was also further charged with assaulting the said labourer by firing two (2) gunshots at him with the intent to commit the offence of bodily harmed.
The Accused man is expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court to answer to the charges.
