Four swimmers copped double titles when the St Vincent and the Grenadines Swimming Federation hosted the OECS Swimming Championships last weekend at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Center.
Participation in the Championship was limited to St. Vincent and the Grenadines since the other territories were unable to attend, given the various restrictive health protocols that are in place consequent upon the coronavirus pandemic.
Notwithstanding, Belle Adams, Jadon Hamilton, Brandon George and Mya De Freitas were their respective age groups individual champions, and added the Sprint Champions’ titles to their names.
Adams won both titles in the Females 8 and Under, with Hamilton doing likewise for the males in that age group. They were also the Sprint Champions in their age group.
Meanwhile, George secured the Male 11-12 Individual title and was the 9- 12 Sprint Champion, while De Freitas pouched the Females 13-14 title and was the 13 and Over Sprint Champion.
In the 9-10 age bracket, Eltonique Leonard took the Female category and Hazen Dabriel, the Male.
Among the other titles won was the Female 11-12, which went to Kennice Greene, with Eltonte Leonard copping the Male 13-14.
Jaynika Williams pouched the Females 15 and Over title and Kenale Alleyne, was the Male champion.
And, Zariel Nelson grasped the Female 9-12 Sprint Champion title and Aaron De Freitas was the Male 13 and Over Sprint Champion.
