    CYPAN SVG to host Human Rights Conference 2020.

    The Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network Chapter in SVG will host an online Human Rights Conference from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on the 10th of December 2020 under the theme of “Human Rights, Youth, and Peace”. This event will be geared towards spreading awareness regarding human rights, especially amongst the youth.

    Topics which will be covered during this conference will be; defining human rights, the history of human rights, the classification of human rights, the United Nations human rights system, and youth and human rights, amongst other things.

    The presenters for this Conference are young persons who are experts in human rights law.
    They are; Cherisse Francis, a Barbadian Attorney-at-law and Commonwealth Scholar with an LLM in Human Rights and Criminal Justice from the University of Aberdeen. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the University of Warwick; Stefan Newton, a Barbadian Consultant and Chevening Scholar with an LLM in International Law and Legal Studies from American University Washington and an LLM in International Economic Law from Queen Mary University London; and Saeed Hamid, a Guyanese Attorney-at-law with an LLM in Human Rights Law from the University of Aberdeen.

    The public is invited to join CYPAN SVG for this event. This event will be streamed via zoom and on CYPAN SVG’s Facebook page “CYPAN SVG”.
