As Minister of the Ministry of National Mobilisation, I will like to express thanks to the

Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) who handed over 1,089 boxes of donated

goods from SimplyHelp Foundation to the Government of St. Vincent and the

Grenadines. The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in St. Vincent and the

Grenadines handed over a 40-foot container of donated goods from the SimplyHelp

Foundation to the people and the government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on

February 1, 2021, through the Ministry of National Mobilisation.

In receiving this donation, I am happy for these items donated which contains items of

the PPE gears that will be used by my Ministry staff in the execution of their duties while

serving the general public here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

As Minister, I wish to further state my country’s continued support to our friendly Alli

as this collaboration will assist my government and Ministry in meeting the needs of

Vincentians who are in need of the items donated. The donated items of 1,089 boxes of

various items with a value of US$141,180 include children and women clothes, shoes,

school supplies, toys, eye goggles, face shields, and medical equipment. These items

would be distributed to various communities around St. Vincent and the Grenadines to

    children and the vulnerable.

I wish to take this opportunity on behalf of the Government and people of St Vincent

and the Grenadines and my Ministry to say thank you to His Excellency Ambassador

Calvin Ho of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and reaffirms my

Government’s commitment to work with like-minded Allies to prevent the pandemic,

and to promote the health and well-being of the people of the global community.
