    The Circumstances Surrounding The Death OF Shane Cabral Is Being Investigated By Police

    Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Shane Cabral, a 24 years old labourer of Glen that occurred about 9:06pm on 21.04.2021.


    Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was in an area of Glen when he was approached and shot multiple times by two (2) unknown masked gunmen.


    Officers stationed at the Calliaqua Police Station were informed and they visited the scene. Upon arrival, the deceased was met motionless and unresponsive with what appeared to be gunshot wounds about his body. The District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned and he pronounced the body dead at the scene. The motive surrounding the shooting incident is unknown at the moment.

    A post-mortem examination will be conducted on the body of the deceased.
    Cabral’s death marks the twelfth homicide for the year 2021. Persons with information about this investigation are asked to contact the Assistant Commissioner in charge of Crimes at 1784-456-1339 or the officer in charge of South Central Division at 1784-458-4200 or the officer in charge of the Major Crime Unit at 1784-456-1810 or 1784-4571211 ext 216, 220 or any Police Station or Police Officer you are comfortable with. All information will be treated confidentially.


    Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
