In little over two days, two bodies have been discovered on the Windward side of the island, on the 23rd and 25th respectively. Mr. Davis Horne and Mr. Travez Vasquez Fernandez are two of SVG’s latest deaths reported to the police.

Earlier today, police received reports that a lifeless body was seen on the ground in the vicinity of the playing field in South Rivers. The police responded and visited the scene where the body was found. The dead man was later identified as Travez Vasquez Fernandez’, with what appeared to be a wound on the side of his neck. The District Medical Officer subsequently pronounced the man dead. Fernandez, 23, worked as a bus conductor in Park Hill.

On Wednesday 23rd June, 2021, at around 5:30 a.m., police received reports from relatives of Davis Horne, stating that his body was found in his home at Belmont. The police visited the scene and found the 52 year-old man dead, with no evident signs of injury on his body.

Post mortem examinations will be conducted on the bodies to ascertain the exact causes of death.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding both deaths and urge the public to communicate any relevant information that can assist with the investigations of the matters.

Members of the public who wish to communicate any information to the police can contact Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of crimes at 456-1339 or the Commander of the South Western Division at 458-4200 or any police station.
