    Truck driver in custody assisting with the investigation into the death of Belair youth

    August 10, 2021, Kingstown – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident that occurred along the Belair Public Road on 09.08.2021 that claimed the life of one adolescent.

    According to investigations, on 09.08.2021 about 2:30 p.m. Motor Vehicle (M/V) TB622, a white Hino truck owned and driven by Edwart Joseph, a Landscaper of Belair was travelling along the Belair Public Road heading towards the Spa when he struck Mark McDonald, 15 years old student and Delron Morgan, 12 years old student, both of Belair who were travelling along the Belair Public road towards Fountain on bicycles.

    Mark McDowald was pronounced dead on the scene by the District Medical Officer, while Delron Maloney escaped with minor injuries.

    The driver of M/V TB622 is currently in police custody assisting with the investigations.
