Louie Cupid of Murray’s Village was originally arrested and later charged for his alleged role in murder-accused Veron Primus’ 2019 jail break.
Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne found him guilty after a trial that featured 10 prosecution witnesses – two of whom were summoned by defence counsel Grant Connell.
While mitigating the Serious Offences Court guilty verdict, Connell told the court that Cupid’s only contention was that he was not charged under the applicable section.
Cupid would serve 1 year and 11 months of his 3 years and 5 month sentence.
