The REMMA Agency embarked on a project dubbed “Georgetown Fan Project” to donate cooling fans to residents of the Georgetown located within the red zone. The idea to donate the fans came about as a way to ease the comfort level of residents returning from evacuation due to the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano in April 2021.
The project targeted senior citizens and newborn babies. Twenty (20) cooling fans were distributed in Phase 1 of the project. REMMA Agency thanks Conrad Crooks and friends in England for funding Phase 1 of the project.
Persons who are desirous of contributing to the FAN Project can contact Dillon Morris and Renitta Peters-Morris.
Phase 2 is expected to begin in November 2021.
