The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment will host an on-campus vaccination drive on Friday 5th November, 2021 at its Villa campus, from 9:00am – 3:00pm.

Director of the SVGCC, Nigel Scott, in commenting on the drive stated “We recognize the global challenges presented by COVID-19 and neither St. Vincent and the Grenadines, nor the Community College, are exempt from these challenges. We therefore deem it important to host this activity, as we have a societal and institutional responsibility to actively combat the spread of COVID-19. Scientific evidence shows that vaccines work, and as an institution deeply supportive of science-based knowledge, as evidenced by our expanding Science department, we
are offering our support by hosting this vaccination drive”.

The SVGCC is inviting the public to its on-campus vaccination event on Friday 5th November, 2021 at its Villa campus between 9:00AM and 3:00PM.

The SVGCC’s preventative measures already include: mandatory wearing of masks on campus, installation of sanitization stations across all divisions, employment of full-time nurses to facilitate temperature checks upon arrival, encouraged social distancing and incorporated a virtual then blended instructional approach.

The college wishes to reiterate that participation in Friday’s drive is voluntary.
