    Police has launched an investigation into report of fire in Old Montrose

    An investigation has been launched into a report of a fire that occurred at Old Montrose on 19.04.22. The fire is reported to have destroyed a three-bedroom wooden flat house and its contents belonging to Cheryl King. The fire is also reported to have damaged a two-story wall structure located to the back of the burnt house.


    The Fire Department responded to the fire and successfully extinguished it with water from the fire appliance. The cause of the fire and the value of the dwelling house and its contents are unknown.


    Persons with information that can assist with the investigation are asked to contact the Assistant Commissioner in charge of Crimes at 1784-457-1211; the Officer in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department at 1784-456-1810; or any police Station, or Police Officer you are comfortable with. All information will be dealt with confidentially. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
