President of India Ram Nath Kovind will pay a state visit to St. Vincent and the Grenadines from May 18-21.
This is the first-ever visit by an Indian Head of State to this country.
While here, the Indian president will hold discussions with his counterpart Governor-General Her Excellency Susan Dougan.
He will also meet with Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves as well as other dignitaries.
President Kovind will also address the House of Assembly of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Visit of President Kovind to Saint Vincent and Grenadines assumes importance as this country is an active member in the Caribbean Community.
The first-ever Head of State visit to this country is a continuation of India’s high-level engagement in the Caribbean region and emphasizes India’s continued commitment to work with Small Island developing countries.
Meanwhile, the Indian President is currently paying a state visit to Jamaica until May 18.
His visit to Jamaica comes at a significant milestone as 2022 is the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Jamaica
