The Electrical Inspectorate Department launched a national re-inspection program on Monday (May 23).
The program was launched as the Electrical Inspectorate Department is observing Electrical Safety Week 2022 to inform the population about electrical safety from May 23 to May 27.
Under its re-inspection program, the department is appealing to business or homes that have been certified more than 15 years ago to be re-inspected and re-certified.
In addition to the re-inspection program, another program- Renewal at 40, is also being promoted by the department.
Renewal at 40, which sees itself in the 3rd and final year of existence, seeks to assist vulnerable homeowners that are still using an old wiring system (fuse boards) and assists them to be upgraded to a more robust, up-to-date and safer system.
