GREEN PARTY VIEW: SVG Economy In Worst Condition In Living Memory

According to the Leader of SVG Green Party, Warrant Officer Ivan Bertie O’Neal BSc (Hons), MSc, MBA, SVG’s economy is in its worst condition in living memory under the poorly educated ULP regime. Electricity bills are outrageously high, as are water bills and the price of many food products.

SVG’s economic structure under the Labour Party led by Cato, The New Democratic Party led by Sir James Mitchell and the useless and very poorly educated ULP regime, has not been strong enough to create a fiscal surplus for even one year, and successive governments have failed to move SVG into prosperity.

The ULP regime simply does not understand that the SVG economy cannot grow unless we increase the number of products that are exported. Creating new products expands the economy, and in order to create new products, especially in light industries and agro-processing, we must build factories. We must also build our own university and educate our people to university level.

Warrant Officer Ivan Bertie O’Neal BSc (Hons), MSc, MBA lived in Singapore with his wife and three children from 1963 to 1965. The then highly educated Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew – who was educated at Cambridge University, England – moved Singapore into a knowledge-based economy with free high-quality education for every child in Singapore.

High quality education is free to every person in Singapore – Chinese, Malay, Indian and mixed race. Importantly, in Singapore there are no white enclaves that are exempt from tax and customs duty. Whereas in SVG, Taiwan and the Migrants in Mustique and Canouan are exempt from tax and customs duty, even though the Black, Poor and Powerless indigenous population must pay tax and customs duty. It is very clear that privilege accorded by race is a major obstacle to progress in SVG.

White Racism was thrown out of South Africa and, according to Warrant Officer Ivan Bertie O’Neal BSc (Hons), MSc, MBA, racism will be thrown out of SVG too. It is only a matter of time, and we will see the back of Taiwan too.

High quality education must become the driving force of SVG and we must see the back of Taiwan and the Migrants of Mustique and Canouan. These three groups have been milking our country for years. All we have to show for having a relationship with Taiwan and the Migrants in Mustique and Canouan over these past decades is extensive poverty and destitution of the Poor and the powerless indigenous population.
A country without a very highly educated population is vulnerable to abuse by parasites. That is why this could never happen in Singapore, a highly educated society.

The ULP regime has shown since 2001 that they are too poorly educated to create sustainable sources of revenue and a fiscal surplus. They are unable to move our country into prosperity.
