The Republic of China on Taiwan has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves for voicing support for the nation during his address at the 77th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
“On behalf of the people and government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), we thank Dr. the Hon. Ralph E. Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for voicing the staunch support for Taiwan during the general debate at the 77th UNGA in September 24th!” they stated in an official post.
Prime Minister Gonsalves during his address questioned the relative silence, and inaction, in disregard of Taiwan’s legitimate right to exist in accord with the wishes, and will of the Taiwanese people.
The Prime Minister pushed for the inclusion of Taiwan’s in relevant agencies in the United Nations’ system such as the World Health Organisation and the International Civil Aviation Organisation.
