After a considerable absence, Carolling, the much-anticipated event on the Christmas Season Calendar of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is making its reappearance during the Nine Nights of Lights event hosted by the National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. This year’s theme is “Spirits Lifted.”

At a press briefing held on Thursday December 8th, 2022 at CDC’s Conference Room, Minister of Tourism and Culture Hon. Carlos James said that even though this event is not taking its usual competitive format, Vincentians have traditionally enjoyed this aspect of Nine Mornings festivities. Minister James went on to add that he is “hoping that based on the turnout at this year’s event, perhaps next year, we can move to a larger venue where we can draw swords and have the rivalry of the caroling competition back in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”

The “Spirits Lifted” Carolling event is slated to take place on Saturday December 17th, 2022 at the Botanical Gardens and will commence at 6pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
