Jamaica Cricket Association president, Wilford ‘Billy’ Heaven has pulled out of the race to become the next president of Cricket West Indies.

Heaven was set for a showdown with incumbent vice president of the CWI, Dr Kishore Shallow, for the leadership of the regional body.

Heaven entered the race after securing the support of Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, the support of two of the countries shifted to the camp of Dr Shallow, a cricket administrator from St Vincent and the Grenadines.

It now appears Dr Shallow will run unopposed to replace Ricky Skerritt at the March 25 election for the presidency of the regional body.
