Public Servants Treated Like The Garifuna

The prophet Isaiah pronounced woe against those administrators (like those of the ULP) who pervert justice – the abusers of justice. Those government officials have abused their power and are called to God’s bar of justice. (Isa. 10:1-4)

The ULP administration ensured that the Public Health Amendment Act (2021) was passed into law during an early morning (wee hours) sitting of parliament, when most people slept. The amended Act rendered it illegal if Public Servants did not take the COVID-19 vaccine. In other words, if you did not take the vaccine you cannot work with the government. So, hundreds of policemen, teachers, nurses, and others who stood up for their constitutional rights were automatically dismissed from the public service.

The trade unions, which are the worker’s weapons, took the dismissed workers’ matter to court. The learned Judge ruled on behalf of the public servants, i.e., that they must be returned to their service with the government, and be paid and treated accordingly from the day they were dismissed.

According to the verdict and judgment of the learned judge, the government abused its power.

The government has given notice of appeal. After years of hard time, the workers remain in limbo. No money to buy food, pay for proper health services, do some travelling, paying bills and taking care adequately of their dependents.

In what way is this not an act of genocide? This is similar to what the British did to our Garifuna people on Balliceaux. Over 5,000 people were placed on that island to live without food and water. My understanding of genocide is the killing of members of a group. Deliberately inflicting on the group condition of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.

An investigation needs to be done into this matter and if anyone is found to be at fault, concerned citizens need to file a case against this administration (government).

It seems like Ralph Gonsalves and his administration have placed their legal game in the hands of the great I AM. This call is for the Christian lawyers (Matt. 13:52) and all freedom-fighting lawyers to look at the legality of this matter.

    Christian Democrat.
