The launch of Vincy Mas 2023 will have a new look with a full day of activities for the entire family.

In a press release from the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC), Vincy Mas 2023 will launch on Saturday May 6th at Carnival City Victoria Park.

The day’s activities will begin with a family fun day beginning at 10.00 am. There will be bouncing castles, Go Karts, face painting, mascots and many more activities for the children. The adults will not be left out of the mix, as there will also be an area designated for adult games such as dominoes, draughts and pool.

DJ’s, steel orchestras, J’ouvert presentations and more will all put on performances throughout the day’s activities.

The day’s activities are scheduled to end at 6.00 pm, and the venue is expected to transform to “accommodate the euphoric carnival atmosphere which will engulf the arena for the night’s activities,” the release said.

There will be appearances by mas’ bands and they are expected to present sections by individuals displaying their 2023 Vincymas productions.

Soca and Calypso artistes are expected to perform their hit songs along with their 2023 releases. Private promoters would be invited to do promotions for their upcoming events, during the day or night.

The usual Vincymas caravans with whistle stops will also be a part of the launch activities with one caravan leaving from Georgetown and another leaving fro, Barrouallie at 11:00 am.
