Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is set to attend the coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms.
Prime Minister Gonsalves made the announcement last week on the Shake Up program aired on WEFM.
He noted while in Europe he will also be a part of several meetings before the coronation on Saturday.
“I’m leaving on Sunday for the United Kingdom, I’ll be out for about seven working days, so a week’s working days really, which means about nine days in all. I have a set of meetings to go to in Europe, then I have to be in the United Kingdom for some other meetings and also to attend the coronation on Saturday 6th for King Charles,” the Prime Minister said.
The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6 May 2023, at Westminster Abbey. Charles acceded to the throne on 8 September 2022, upon the death of his mother, Elizabeth II.
