There are currently over 3000 tablets and laptops in storage ready to be distributed to students across St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This is according to Minister of Finance Camillo Gonsalves while speaking on radio recently.

Minister Gonsalves noted that these devices were received from The Republic of China (Taiwan) and that another 2000 devices are set to arrive from a different source.
“We have in stock right now over 3000 devices that we got out of Taiwan, we have them in stock, loaded, they’re in room right now locked away safely waiting for distribution, 3000 of those, and by end of month we’re getting another 2000 tablets from a different source and we are going to distribute those devices in the next couple weeks,” he said.

The Finance Minister said that the 5000 devices will be distributed between the end of May and June 2023.
