In light of the recent mass shooting which took place last night in Kingstown, gazetted officer in Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force earlier today decided on some measure with immediate effect.

“Vacation and no pay leave are on hold until further notice and the current leave system will be restructured,” a circulated release stated.
Additionally the release stated that “Division Commanders “will inform persons under their command accordingly.”

It further added that Division/Section/Bran and Unit Commanders must be aware and ensure that information is brought to the attention of personnel under their command and inform the Commissioner of Police through the usual channel, within forty-eight hours when the same is done.”
