Local DJ and promoter Dwayne Zj Stump I Thomas has ventured into another creative field.
Thomas is the owner of Rugz784 a local company that produces custom made mats for homes and businesses.
Speaking to ANN Thomas said that he always had a passion for rug making.
“I had a passion for it for a long time but I really started to add something to my spare time. I also want to show the youths of SVG that there are really a lot of things you can do only if you put your mind to it and stay positive,” Thomas said.
The popular DJ said that he hopes to be creating custom rugs for major companies and called on his fellow colleagues in the entertainment industry to support his company.
Thomas said that he hopes to be an inspiration to youth of SVG.
“I really wanna inspire more youths and encourage them to stay positive, stay focus and just go for what you want. Violence ain’t the key. A lot of things out here to do but it starts with you.”
He said that so far the feedback on his product has been overwhelmingly positive.
Thomas also noted, “ I want to remind persons that am making customize rugs from scratch, most of my materials are imported and comes with a cost and it’s a customize rug.”
He explained that the prices for custom rugs would vary depending on size and the style requested.
