    Flooding forces the Temporary Suspension of Outpatient Services at Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre?

    Flooding at the Modern Medical and Diagnostic Center in Georgetown has forced the authorities to temporarily suspend outpatient services a source has told ANN.

    Flooding at Modern Medical Diagnostic Centre

    A release from the Ministry of Health referred to an earlier press release of Monday, October 2, 2023, informing that there will be no outpatient clinics at the Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre (MMDC) on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the public is now advised that ALL out-patient services at the Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre (MMDC) have been canceled for October 3rd, 2023.

    No mention of the flooding was stated in the release but ANN was reliably informed that the entire outpatient area was flooded out.

    Therefore, the pharmacy, laboratory and x-ray departments will remain closed today
    The MMDC Accident and Emergency Department will remain open for emergency patients. Kindly note that appointments for dialysis treatment will proceed as usual , the release stated.

    The release from the ministry also advised that appointments for dialysis treatment will proceed as usual.

    Persons with appointments are kindly asked to call the facility at 1784- 532-1200 to be rescheduled.
