Contrary to the claim of ERAO SVG Inc., the EU-OACPS partnership (Samoa Agreement) does in fact incorporate the legalization of abortion, same-sex relationships and transgender ‘rights” as commitments to which its parties are legally bound. The two major ways in which it does so are as follows:
- It legally binds the parties to the EU-OACPS partnership (e.g., SVG who signed the partnership), to the implementation of other, hitherto non-legally binding documents, declarations, and guidelines, which clearly promote the legalization of abortion, same sex relationships, transgender ‘rights’, legalization of prostitution (sex-work) and much more.
- It legally binds its parties to the implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights and Services (SRHR(S)), which is the trojan horse which grants backdoor incorporation of legalization of abortion, same-sex behaviors (also marriage), transgender ‘rights’ and the like.
This is primarily exposed in Article 48(7) of the Samoa Agreement (in the Caribbean protocol), which states:
“The Parties shall commit to the full and effective implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and the outcomes of their review conferences. They shall further stress the need for universal access to quality and affordable comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information and education, taking into consideration the UNESCO international technical guidance on sexuality education, as well as the need for the delivery of sexual and reproductive health-care services. They shall pursue the effective implementation of the Montevideo Consensus on Population and Development, as appropriate.”
These documents and programs which were hitherto non-obligatory and aspirational, have now been raised to legally binding treaty status when nations signed the Samoa Agreement. Careful study and scrutiny of each, reveal a veritable attempt to colonize the conscience of the peoples of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (ACPS), who for more than a decade, while working towards the new partnership agreement, post-Cotonou, had resisted the EU’s attempts to impose LGBTQI values and concepts upon them in a trade agreement.
Do not be deceived by the misinformation and disinformation of any government official or NGO like ERAO SVG Inc.
