First, they introduced Sunday shopping and then came the big sales.
And now Jax Enterprises is at it again with its ‘Night Market’ which gets underway today from 4:30.
According to Sheverell McMillan, Marketing Manager at Jax Enterprises, this new frontier, located on the premises of what some remembered as ‘Highway Trading’, or the vicinity opposite the Massey bust stop at Arnos Vale, offers customers the opportunity of shopping at their convenience.
“That’s what it’s for. It’s for the people who have to go to work during the day and who don’t really have time after work during working hours,” McMillan said.
“And, you know it’s the Christmas season, everybody wants to get this and that. Normally it is our culture to leave certain things till the end of the year, the couch may be falling apart and although it would be gone in June entirely we might wrap it up you know we might patch it up and we’ll wait for the Christmas to fix it up, but you need that luxury when you’re purchasing certain things,” he continued.
According to the Marketing Manager, the items on display at the Night Market are unique and are not usually offered at Jax Enterprises in Kingstown.
And for the first time, Jax will be offering a wide selection of sofa sets, televisions, a wide selection of King- and Queen-sized beds and other items at ridiculously low prices at its ‘Night Market’.
There are offers on televisions from as low as EC$500, and a wide selection of sofa sets starting from EC$2,000.
Household items including paper towels, pots, pans, clothing and toys.
There is something for the entire family and people can decide to go shopping after work and get all they need for the holidays at a price that they can afford.
And it is easy to do so at the ‘Night Market’, just drive-up purchase that item and go said McMillan.
“So, a lot of people have been calling and they’ve been passing by and they’re excited about it.”
The ‘Night Market’ will run from Sunday to Thursday, and is opened for all the Christmas shopping from 4:30 til 9 pm.
And on Saturday, December 23, there will be the karaoke finals where nine persons will compete for cash and prizes.
According to McMillan, first prize is EC$1,000 and EC$1.500 in Jax cash; second prize – EC$500 and EC$1,000 Jax cash and third prize – EC$300 plus EC#700 Jax cash.
Persons can come down and shop, beginning at 6:30 pm and take in some of the karaoke action which is expected to run up until 10.
