The United Nations Secretary General Antony Gutiérrez and a delegation will
be among 400 diplomats and heads of state at the 2024 CELAC conference in
St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Community of Latin America and the Caribbean (CELAC) summit will
take place at the Sandals Resort in Buccament. The summit takes place on
March 1 2024.
Among matters to be discussed are Food Security, Peace, Climate Change,
Healthcare.
St Vincent and the Grenadines will also hand over leadership of the Pro
Tempore Presidency to incoming President Honduras.
Meanwhile Sandals Regional Project Manager Terrence Des Vignes has given
the assurance that the resort would meets its deadline and be ready for the
CELAC summit in March.
Speaking with the API during an official tour of the project, Devene said the
220 million US dollar project is on stream. The Resort boasts 301 rooms, 200
suites, 91 Villas, 10 Over Water Villas, 10 restaurants, 5 Bars, a Nurses Station
and a barbershop.
