Two major projects which connect communities in Marriaqua have been completed. A new footpath which connects the Glenside community to the main road and the Dumbarton River Defense.
The Glenside Footpath is approximately 758ft long, complete with safety rails and drains, and was done under the Basic Needs Trust Fund at a cost of over $400,000.
In an interview with the Agency for Public Information on Monday March 18, Area Representative St Clair Prince said these projects are much needed and critical to the development of the area.
These projects follow on the heels of the newly opened Glenside Recreation centre.
There are a number of ongoing projects in Marriaqua including the Sayers-Macmillan Road, the Marriaqua Civic Centre, Hackshaw Bank Realignment Road, Carriere Main Road and Jumbie Gutter/Benjamin Bristol Road with several more to begin soon including the Marriaqua Technical Centre.
