Celebrate Library Week – 6-11 May, 2024, with the National Public Library, Archives and Documentation Services (NPLADS) under the theme: Ready, Set, Library!
Ready, Set, Library! highlights the role of Libraries as partners in every stage of your journey; from start all the way to the finish line, as well as providing an inclusive and supportive community where everyone belongs.
During the week, the NPLADS will be hosting a variety of engaging activities beginning on Monday May 6, with a tour & demonstration of the Digitization Unit and relaunch of the Microfilm Reader Service found at the National Archives.
The Calliaqua, Colonaire, Georgetown, Layou, Rose Hall, and South Rivers branch libraries will come alive with preschoolers on Tuesday May 7 as they host “Storytelling with Preschoolers,” while services of the library will be promoted at the and the Central Leeward Secondary School.
Promotional activities continue on Wednesday May 8 at the St. Clair Dacon Secondary School and Thursday May 9 at the Bequia Seventh Day (SDA) Adventist Secondary School and the Bequia Community High School.
Friday 10 May is Book Character Day and the NPLADS is facilitating another tour & demonstration of the Digitization Unit at the National Archives
In addition, staff of the NPLADS and their families will gather at the Rawacou Recreational Park on Saturday May 18 for a Family Fun Day.
