    Police Arrest and Charge Taxi Driver with Multiple Firearm Offenses

    Police have arrested and charged Rogen Francois, a 37-year-old taxi driver from Rose Bank, with multiple firearms offenses. On May 9, 2024, Francois was arrested in Kingstown on allegations of possessing firearms and ammunition without the required licenses.

    The charges against him include the possession of a 12-gauge firearm, ten rounds of 12-gauge ammofR-15 rifle, and 23 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition.

    Francois has pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail of $15,000 ECC under strict conditions. The Serious Offences Court will handle the case, which is currently pending trial.
